Matt Damon re-teams with the director of Good Will Hunting (Gus Van Sant) for a David vs. Goliath tale between an American small-town and a big business.

A salesman for a natural gas company experiences life-changing events after arriving in a small town, where his corporation wants to tap into the available resources.

Promised Land also stars John Krasinski (The Office) and Rosemarie DeWitt (Rachel Getting Married). Damon and Krasinski co-wrote the script together: Talk about a cool combo! Is the screenplay strong enough to garner Damon another Oscar? We'll see.
