TV Tonight - Hellcats

This could be my new guilty pleasure. Hellcats is about a college cheer team and an unwilling student (Alyson Michalka) who gets pulled into cheering because of financial issues. It's reminiscent of Bring It On, which I liked, with all sorts of over-the-top drama that's sugary but fun. Sharon Leal (Why Did I Get Married?) plays the cheer coach in this fish-out-of-water story. The show is at its best when Michalka delivers her snarky lines.

Hellcats premieres tonight on The CW at 9pm.
