My favorites include Up for best picture, District 9 for best picture and adapted screenplay, and Gabourey Sidibe for best actress. The Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 7th.

The Oscars completely ignored my favorite: 500 Days of Summer. I don't understand how The Blindside, Avatar and District 9 could be appreciated and not Marc Webb's film. Especially The Blindside! Sigh.
However, I am glad for all noms related to Up in the Air, Crazy Heart, The Hurt Locker, The Last Station, An Education and Precious. Those are some of the best movies of the year.
ya i'm bummed Where The Wild Things Are and Moon were shut out. both amazing films in every aspect.
I'm surprised that Where The Wild Things Are didn't get a Best Song nomination for Karen O.
ugh, don't get me started on the blind side or julie and julia. but where is 500 days of summer?? and district 9 instead?
Paul McCartney should have been nominated for Best Song.
