Hugh Dancy first charmed me with his werewolf-loving self in Blood & Chocolate. Now he's playing an autistic guy looking for love in Adam. The story looks like it's going to be cute but not sugary sweet.
Adam won an award at Sundance earlier this year and has a scheduled release date of July 29th.

Wow I definitely want to see this!
YUCK! It looks WAAAAAY too cute for itself. And it's totally predictable. You can tell exactly how it's going to go from the beginning to the final scene.
That's the thing about romantic comedies, as long as the journey on "how" they fall in love is engaging then it's totally worth it.
But there in lies the problem. You know just "how" they're going to fall in love.There's going to be no surprises, no odds twists whatsoever
Come on, what about Titanic? We all knew the ship was going to sink and that Kate and Leo were going to fall in love but it was still brilliant! When she jumped back on the ship, people were teary-eyed all over the theater.
Titanic never did it for me. Guess I'm not a romantic at heart :(

Hey, I'm not a cold heart. The last romantic film I saw that I liked was Something New. It's LOT better than that way too overrated Love and Basketball
Ewwww, you like "Something New" over "Love and Basketball"? Are you kidding me? Come on, Sergio ... come on!
On another note, I am excited about this film. Asperger syndrome has intrigued me ever since Heather from "Top Model" had it during Cycle 9.
Basketball (as well as baseball and football) bore me to death. The film works under the assumption that you just LOVE basketball as much as the main characters do in the film. Therefore most of the impact of the film was totally lost on me. And I've seen it a few times just trying to get it. Nope, it just doesn't work for me. I find it a tedious film
For me Love & Basketball is better than Something New although I highly enjoyed both films.
And Sergio, even though I'm not I big football fan I think Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows on TV! It's a true testament of how good storytelling can overcome one's dislike of a certain sport.
You know I'm a hypocrite. I love the film Friday Night Lights (I've seen the TV show because I don't think it can ever live up to the movie) and I really like too Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday.
So it's not the sport itself it's the characters in Love and Basketball that don't interest me
hehe. That's okay. Watch the TV show from the beginning. It takes movie storyline to a whole new level! The subtle emotion that Kyle Chandler's coach offers is pitch-perfect. I wish all TV dramas could be so elegantly orchestrated.
