The Producers of 'I'm Through With White Girls'

ReelBlack TV has an interesting interview with the producers of the uber cool indie film I'm Through White Girls. If not for brave producers/actors like Lia and Phyllis Johnson we'd be stuck with yet another "ghetto black film." Hopefully we'll continue to get movies that go beyond the typical Hollywood fanfare.

Let me just say, the snippets of this film alone, is more interesting and funny than several mainstream trailers I've seen as of late.

I am going to Netflix to instant watch this today!!!

Congrats to these women for making a funny and interesting looking film. I hope they remain a fixture in H'Wack.

My cousins bought this for me when they visited America recently. It was a really good movie. It was funny in all the right places, and was so real and down to earth.

It was really great to see a cast of characters who represent different times in my own life. I really enjoyed and I need to write a review of it on Amazon.

Yay. I love when I catch up with your wonderful blog all at once.

So I do know Lia and Phyllis. It's sort of a long story but Lia interned at my mom's office and would hang out with me/babysit when I was in middle school. The last I saw her I mistook Phyllis for her sister at Trader Joes a year or so before I moved to Colorado. They are great and I can't wait to see the movie. Awesome!
